Ancient Black China – Paco Taylor’s “Ancient Chinese Secret”

Our pasts and the myths of present-day formations of ethnic nations and separations of color-language-culture, must be scrutinized.

One of the reasons for my posts are to shift and disrupt the assumptions and ideological paths that dot and manuever the mindscapes and landscapes of oppressions.

Blackness is not what we think, and are not located like we think. Then we must check our thoughts, where they may lead to information and theories and ideological frameworks taught to us by a very troublesome national educational system–no matter where we live or work or play. Do we immediately go to an Africa and migrations and lead ourselves to think into the ideologies that have taught us about “all humans” etc. etc.??

Check ourselves as we encounter these photos and the article itself.  

In my own research, dark-skinned Asians existed in most places, usually in the southern areas of China, Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines, most of the Southeast Asian countries today, Indonesia, etc.  Through modernization and nation-building, many of these people were driven into jungles and mountains through the ages, most massacred, and/or assimilated into invading ethnic cultures, disappeared into the legacies of institutional “historical” information and mythologies of all nations–particularly the European and white nations, spreading as “history” to all corners of the globe in the long march of colonization and nation-building, past and present-day.

Black-Chinese?  Perhaps, but we must remember that the concept of “China” is also a fairly modern idea, as thousands upon thousands of different ethnicities existed before the crushing of diversities in the modern world.

The article below is good, reveals alot, including the question of using certain modern-day “black” cultural figures and icons to point to black people (a bit problematic).  Nevertheless, this is an important look.
