Brown Babies of Germany: some parallels with Black-Asian histories

The term “Mischlingskinder” was a pejorative term for mixed Jewish/German children and adults until after the Second World War.

After that war, when massive numbers of the U.S. American soldiers came as temporary relief, and through sexual relations with German women, left Germany with what it considered a “social problem.”

Mixed White-German children were scorned but the darker skin and physical features of the Black German mixed children received more hatred and disdain, much like the rest of the White-Euro dominated world, including the displays of racism against Black-American soldiers by White American soldiers during the postwar years.  Although Europe is not the Pacific, its issues are related to Black Pacific racialization, so I present this great website for you to visit.
